Condoms are available in health services for free. Female students can have an exam at health services, but they need to have birth control prescriptions filled at a local pharmacy. Sometimes, if it is the first time a female is going on birth control, the nurse will give out a free pack of pills. Emergency contraception is available, also.

The Bentley campus is made up of all kinds of people, but the majority are the typical pretty or rich kid stereotypes. Lots of students at Bentley buy into the stereotype and can be consistently seen wearing North Face, Coach, Gucci, and Uggs. Many also drive expensive cars and like to be flashy. It's unfortunate but true.

The majoirty of students here try to fit as best they can; conformity is the order of the day. Many girls get the stereotype of being stuck up or high maintenance, but most are pretty chill if you get to know them. As for the guys, many are seen as typical guys only interested in one thing. But for the most part the guys are laidback in the social scene, not trying too hard. At parties, especially those hosted by frats, the flirting and sexual innuendos can be taken to a new level, though. Combine good-looking people with unlimited amounts of alcohol, add them to a small space with loud music, and you could have a recipe for disaster. “Hooking up” on campus can refer to anything from making out to having sex, so be sure to clarify the terminology to avoid potential bad reputations. It is not uncommon to see plenty of "walks of shame" on Saturday and Sunday mornings. That all being said, the most important thing to remember is that nearly everyone at Bentley has two sides: the classroom side and the weekend side. Secret nerds are present in unexpected places. This idea can really be seen during midterms and finals.

People Are Not at All Snobby

Many people who are into entrepreneurship or business in general will consider Bentley and Babson. When I was researching these two schools, there was a general consensus that the kids, especially at Babson, were really rich, snobby, and spoiled. I come from a very down to earth middle class background and would not be able to handle the one-upmanship and flaunting of snobs. However, at Bentley, there is not a disproportionate amount of snobby people as you might find at Babson. People do not flaunt their class here and you can find just as many toyota camrys as BMW 3s.

Nice cars. north Face jackets. Longchamp bags. Preppy clothes. Trust fund babies. International students with a ton of money. 10% of the people are cool if you can find them.

Social Scene

The amount of "cliques" on campus can be intimidating, but don't worry, you will find your clique soon enough, and the social order will continue without a hitch. The social elite at Bentley can often be seen within the Greek organizations, but they are present in the varsity sports scene, as well. You may have to look hard to find people you get along with, or you may find your best friend on your floor freshman year; really, it's all about luck.

Hookups or Relationships?

Go to any party, and this question can easily be answered. There are lots of random hookups, mostly occurring under the influence, that will be forgotten (if need be) the next day. The smallness of the school can be virtually impossible to ignore if you want a hookup to remain a secret; there's no six degrees of separation here—try three degrees instead. Most people who are in relationships are involved with students from other campuses or back home, so it's not always evident who is single and who is not.

Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls

Whether you are walking to class, checking out a book at the library, or ordering a beer at the Pub, you can find an attractive people anywhere on campus. The truth is, there is no one "main" place to meet guys and girls because the campus is crawling with beautiful people. That said, the pressure can be intense to maintain a certain level of grooming and upkeep in public, even for those dreaded 8:30 a.m. classes. When the pressure mounts, students head to the gym to attempt to stay fit and lean, making the elliptical machine a key spot to check out the opposite sex's goods. Because most dorm room parties will have a large number of familiar people, frat parties can be used to meet new people to randomly hook up with, yet they seldom lead to long-term relationships. If traditional ways of meeting people fail, just wait until spring when everyone is restless and ready to peel off the sweaters and lay out on the Greenspace in their new bathing suits.

Dress Code

The dress code at Bentley has become more varied over the years. There are still very few students who wear sweats to class (the most frequent time to see this would be the 8:30 a.m. class block, and of course night classes). The majority of students wear jeans and a nice a top to class. Some guys wear slacks, and a lot wear polos. The girls can be seen sporting expensive jewelry, but that is commonplace. Rain boots and UGGS are also wildly popular with the girls. More and more guys are also wearing hats to class, and of course basketball season brings an influx of jerseys and team tees.
