The choice to live off campus is not very popular; however, finding nearby accommodations is fairly easy. Bentley does not offer apartment search assistance, but this is not a problem, as there are plenty of options that students use year after year. The Windsor Apartments probably have the highest percentage of students living off campus in one area, and since they were once affiliated with Bentley, students find their rates reasonable and their location very convenient. Living in a Waltham apartment can enable you to still feel connected to the Bentley nightlife and social scene, but living anywhere beyond Waltham automatically makes you a commuter student. There is little to no interaction between commuters and on-campus residents.

Many transfer and international students make their home in the Allston/Brighton area because of the close proximity to bars and nightclubs. The closer to the city you get, the more expensive the rent, and it becomes necessary to either be financially stable or have multiple roommates to split the costs. Definitely use Craigslist for sublets, roommate searches, and to find the abode of your off-campus dreams.

It's absolutely worth it to stay... It's absolutely worth it to stay on campus! The dorms are quite close to classes, unless you live on North Campus where the apartments for upperclassmen and grad students are, or on Lower Campus, which is a 10-minute walk to classes, but you're right next to the athletic fields and the gym. 12345 Off-Campus Housing: April 04, 2009 Report
