Can't Say, Really – Honestly speaking, I'm not too into the nightlife in Boston. Other than the concerts, I don't go to clubs or bars, for a few reasons: a) I'm not too into it, and b) I'm too young, as an eighteen-year-old.

I have never been to Berklee because of my financial status, but from what I have learned through the audition and interview process it has a culturally diversified atmosphere where people make newcomers feel at home. This was my experience when I met some of the students. Everyone was incredibly open and curious about my views and ideas. It is an artistic, rich environment in which I will not be judged but greatly appreciated; an environment where I will not only learn from books but from people. This blind optimism has always been a part of me and helps me unlock who I am. My conclusion, it is best to simply hope.

Health & Safety:
Just Starting – Not sure as to what health and safety Berklee offers just yet.
College Senior 2012-05-13T22:24:20Z
Off Campus – I do not have any knowledge regarding campus housing.

Public transportation in alright, but based off the location of my home, it's a little inconvenient. Buses and trains, however, do run very close to school; It's just a matter of getting on.

The Campus Offers a Computer Friendly Work Environment – The computer labs at Berklee College of Music are convenient and easily accessible for all of the students on campus. As long as we respect the regulations and rules that go along with using the labs, students are free to use them during operating hours. Access to the computer labs makes it convenient when having to print documents, use the internet or work on projects. The labs also offer access to recording software and equipment when needed. Wireless internet is also available across the campus. I have never had a single issue with being able to use the internet while in school.

The T – It's very convenient to get places with the T in Boston but it is getting costly. I'm thinking Berklee is thinking of some other methods of transportation in the future. Berklee shuttle to the Fordham practice rooms?

Not Much. I thought Berklee would have a problem with drugs but it really doesn't have that big a problem. I'm impressed with the amount of people that don't or or wouldn't use drugs. Same with alcohol.

Berklee I believe has a hockey team but sports are pretty non-existatnt just like the work out facilities. I guess most musicians aren't interested in hurting their hands in a sport. It'd be nice to have unofficial pickup soccer games or something. I'd like that!

Under Age Drinking – They don't care, as long has your 21 or over and no one is in the same room when you are drinking. But of course those rules are always broken. No one that I know of has been caught.
College Junior 2012-02-20T20:51:09Z
Room Mates – Room mates are always high or drinking. All there friends do the same thing. Only a couple people have been caught.

The City of Boston. There is always something going on in the city of Boston. This includes concerts, events, and different activities. It's a great city for college students and young adults. In addition to the events, there is variety when it comes to dining and shopping, with restaurants, coffee shops, and clothing stores all throughout the city.

Just Say No! There is a lot of drug activity more so than alcohol. Peer pressure, not really, just stay true to yourself.

Its All About the Music! Most students just hang with a small group of close friends in dorms or apartments and most students live off campus in apartments. Lots of bars in the area if you are over 21. Most people want to be around music all the time! Find people with similar interest in music style. The T transit system is very accessible which enables you to get around the city very easily.

It's beautiful weather from the Middle of Spring to the 1st week or so of Autumn. After that time, it's really cold but tends to stay clear so bundling up is very important. It really does not affect Campus Life.

It's fairly easy to get around the Campus and most the classrooms are within a decent walking distance. There are some shuttles available and that helps some.

Everyone I have run into on the Campus really respects everyone else' background and culture. There seems to be a Kindred Spirit that is very persuasive throughout the facilities. The most wonderful experience that I see is how we all try to uplift everyone else no matter their circumstance. And no one has to feel embarrassed about anything in their background!

Sometimes Stressful – The tuition at Berklee is very high, as many people know, but I gratefully received a scholarship from the school right off the bat. Applying for government grants, scholarships, and loans helps a lot, and also having a part time job. It is always a good idea to file a fafsa online because that helps a lot. But the college has good resources that will help you pay for college because they know that it is expensive.

Drug Free Campus – Berklee has a rule about having no alcohol on campus and they stick by that rule. The campus is very clean and there is not any visibility of people using drugs or drinking on campus, and there is not really any peer pressure to do so. If people are doing drugs it is just by smoking cigarettes.

Amazing Culture – Berklee College of Music represents ninety different countries around the world and twenty-five percent of their students are international, so there are many different accents and languages at the school. There are a lot more men on the campus than there are women, but it does not seem to bother anyone. Everyone on the Berklee campus is very accepting of all diverse topics and economic background, race, political beliefs, religion, and sexual orientation do not seem to matter. The only thing that is important is creating and learning.

Guys & Girls:
New and Exciting – Being that Berklee has one of the largest groups of international students at a college there is ALWAYS someone interesting and exciting to meet. The girl to guy ratio is about 30-70, so I guess that could be a downside. But, everyone is creative, musical, friendly, and focused most of the time (not to say we don't know how to have fun)! Berklee is all about the connections you make and it is a great school for networking for a future career.
College Junior 2012-01-11T23:55:20Z
Urban Campus – Berklee doesn't really have a "campus" persay, but more like 10 or so buildings spread around the Back Bay area of Boston. The area is pretty safe and Berklee doesn't have all the facilities for activities like sports and libraries for books, but makes sure these resources are available for their students throughout the city. Always a lot going on around and in the buildings too!
College Junior 2012-01-11T23:52:08Z
All the computers are Berklee are Macs because all of the decent music software of today is made for the Apple operating systems. They are fast and reliable, but can be confusing if you are not used to them. There is always someone willing to help when you need it !

The dorms are pretty nice. The problem with them is that they are way more expensive than living off campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
