here are people of many different races and religions at Berry, but the majority are white and protestant which is very reflective of the area. There does seem to be a spirit of both tolerance and celebration for each person's differences in spite of this.

pretty mild winters and normal summers. It does rain more than some other areas, mostly in the afternoons.

In the four years i attended, I was never approached by anyone selling drugs and only knew of a few guys that i thought might be using some. it's a pretty wholesome atmosphere at Berry.

The only computer I ever use is the one for work. And the ones in the library. I've never had a problem and I am always able to print what I need.

If you don't have a car, shuttle buses normally run from 7 in the morning to 12 at night. This is great, unless you need to get off campus. In that case make friends with those who have their own transportation.

Even though Berry is a strictly dry and drug-free campus (according to policy), I still happen to stumble into incidents that are....less than appealing. These things are mostly hidden, but students know they're happening. One thing I don't like about college campuses -- drinking is like a cockroach: near impossible to die out.

Downtown Rome provides everything: cuisines, bars, fast food places, restaurants, mom-and-pop places, you name it! Despite how many students complain of a lack of "night life", I say a night life is my friends and I going out at 1 in the morning to Applebee's on Friday nights in order to enjoy each others company and make plans for the following day.

I am in love with the Cage Center, our athletics facility at Berry College. Even though I haven't been able to use it much this past year due to academics and adjustment to college life, I fully intend to use it as often as I can to stay in shape.

Of all the things of Berry, it is the student work program that impresses me the most. 95% of the campus is run by students, everything from administration (even CEO positions) to dorm housecleaning. I love the wide variety of jobs on campus. I'm hoping to find a medical job on campus this next semester, but finding jobs in your chosen field is difficult -- remember that there are probably a lot of other students competing for that type of experience.

There are plenty of sports for the college athlete to choose from. With the addition of a football team and new workout facilities, athletes have the potential to thrive in their sport. For the non-athletes who still like to have fun, there are a ton of intramural sports to choose from, including Quidditch.

If you want to make sure you have a good parking spot, leave your dorm at least 20 minutes before class. Parking isn't the best, but the dorms are within a close proximity to the academic buildings, so most of the time you won't even need to drive to class.

The buildings are old, but the campus in itself is old, so it is to be expected. Some of the older dorms could use some upgrades, but the downfalls of the buildings are made up for when you can tell your friends that you live in a castle paid for by Henry Ford.

The school makes the rules known so that there is no excuse for students to break the rules. The consequences are also known so student's know what they are potentially getting themselves into if they break the rules.

I got a ton of scholarships that are making it possible to attend Berry. The financial aid office is there for students that want to go to Berry, and there are many scholarships for people to apply for.

It's extremely difficult to find parking spots during the afternoon at most of the academic buildings. Plan accordingly!

There are many aesthetically pleasing facilities on campus. There is never a shortage of guests on campus for weddings at the chapel to picture taking at the Ford Castle. We have over 26,000, ranking the biggest campus in the world, and many beautiful buildings and landscape to view. The library is a popular place for students to come to and study, because there is a quiet center and many nooks located throughout for student to come study. Also, the campus organizations hold unique student activities every weekend for the student's pleasure.

Anyone can be an Animal Science major at Berry College, if you get accepted into the school. There is no special process; all you have to do is declare the major.
College Sophomore 2013-06-23T22:26:23Z
Since the Animal Science program is so rigorous, I am not concerned about trying to find a job when I graduate. I currently have a summer job as a veterinary assistant at my local vet office. This could also be a permanent job, however my school is located 2.5 hours away. Campus job also include working in the sheep, dairy, and equine centers located on campus. This provides excellent experience for Animal Science majors.

Berry is the largest campus in the world. We have over 27,000 acres of land that serves many purposes. Every student is guaranteed a job on campus and can work their way up in wage increases. There is always an activity for students every weekend so you don't have to go off campus to have fun. The facilities are so aesthetically pleasing that there is never a shortage of people coming onto campus to take pictures or having their wedding at the campus chapel.

The Animal Science program at Berry College is one of the most difficult programs for pre-veterinarian students. It helps you prepare for veterinary school and offers hand-on experience with the animal science classes. The classes are very challenging, although they can become easier the more you study for the classwork. I enjoy my major, because I get to learn about animals and prepare myself to work in a field that I will forever enjoy. Berry also offers students jobs in the cow, sheep, or equine facilities that we have on campus.

The animal science program is one of the best on the East coast. Its very challenging but you begin hands on work immediately.

The facilities are top of the line. The gym is amazing and the rock walls are sweet.
