At Berry College I enjoy the Animal Science program. It is very unique in the fact that they start you off with hands on experience with any of the majors that they offer. The professors are the best for teaching the information needed for the exam. Also, you can get a job on campus working in the schools dairy, beef unit, or sheep unit.

Anyone can be an Animal Science major at Berry College, if you get accepted into the school. There is no special process; all you have to do is declare the major.

Since the Animal Science program is so rigorous, I am not concerned about trying to find a job when I graduate. I currently have a summer job as a veterinary assistant at my local vet office. This could also be a permanent job, however my school is located 2.5 hours away. Campus job also include working in the sheep, dairy, and equine centers located on campus. This provides excellent experience for Animal Science majors.

The Animal Science program at Berry College is one of the most difficult programs for pre-veterinarian students. It helps you prepare for veterinary school and offers hand-on experience with the animal science classes. The classes are very challenging, although they can become easier the more you study for the classwork. I enjoy my major, because I get to learn about animals and prepare myself to work in a field that I will forever enjoy. Berry also offers students jobs in the cow, sheep, or equine facilities that we have on campus.

I just switched over to the French program a couple of weeks ago, so I cannot say for sure how the program is yet. I can say that my lower level French classes have been incredibly beneficial and also fun to be in.
