The only thing at Bethel are "creekers", literal parties at the creek.

I am a little annoyed that I can earn two 6, 000 dollar scholarships, but only be offered 6,000 I kind of get it, but when I have two Major/ minors I am needing all the help I can get! But I appreciate how willing and trusting the faculty is to give these scholarships to students. I don't mean to sound rude- Every bit really does count, but the limits kind of stink in a situation like mine.

Health & Safety:
I am very comfortable walking around alone at night. I stay under lights, but I'm not worried about the community or students as a whole at all. Sometimes I wish that the housing was updated a little bit, but the campus does as WONDERFUL job preserving an older campuses' beautiul buildings, and cleanliness. It is a gorgeous and safe campus to walk around, study and and is a general asset to the community. I don't understand there to be theft, crimes, (other than the occasional drinking issues). The only REAL problem I see is a lack of secure, well... security. Sure there's lock up at night, but I don't know if we should make sure we are definitely secure.

The requirements for music majors keep students very busy throughout their time at Bethel. Classes are engaging and close knit, which allow relationships for with professors and students to form. You can tell the professors really care about the music program.

Our Caf was remolded this year and it looks awesome! It is a clean and happy eating environment. There are usually 4 different main meal options and always a soup, salad, and sandwich bar. The caf always has multiple vegetarian/vegan options as well. I can sometimes be a picky eater but always find something to eat that I enjoy. The food service asks for feedback about the food and makes changes or adds requests to the menu. In addition, the workers are always smiling and enjoy their job.

One of the main reasons I came to Bethel was for the strong science program. My freshman year I had the chance to be a part of a research group. Our group collected data, analyzed, and created a poster to present at our college STEM Symposium. It is really nice to put on a resume that you can do research and work collaboratively with others on projects. I'm interested in going onto medical school and I feel Bethel is preparing me well for the future.
The science faculty... Great! One of my professors stayed an hour with me after the time she was suppose to leave just to make sure I understood what we were working on. I know my professors care about their students and seeing the succeed. Plus, they always have candy!

If you are an athlete, sometimes there are required study groups or study sessions. Other than that there are some policies surrounding intervisitation hours in the dorms that are enforced. Other than that the policies are not too strict.

Bethel is a very diverse campus, but despite the diversity you can still feel the essence of community present around the school. All the different backgrounds that students bring to the school help to create the unique atmosphere that is Bethel College.

Social Work, Nursing, Psychology are great and teaching and business are all good for the looking into. I am currently in the Social Work Program at Bethel and I have enjoyed the way the structure has been laid out. They have currently constructed a new building for nursing and this program as well. I want to add, that all but one class transferred, and this was because the computer program I had taken was too old.

Since the classes in the Spring semester do not start until late January the snow storms are not a bother some. And if there are snow storms it does interfere with get to class because the housing is just a few feet away with the side walk and parking lot cleared off it makes it especially nice to attend.

I have heard good things about the variety and quality of food they serve in the cafeteria. I myself have enjoyed the on cam pass coffee shop which serves everything from sandwiched to breakfast and deserts.

The academics and the people are great- and the science facilities. The area could use more to do.

Small Town – Bethel is in a small town without a lot to do. But it is near several bigger cities with more options, and the town itself is very welcoming.

Good Question – This is a church college so drinking and drugs are a big no, no. Drinking is more of a problem I would say then drugs, but I don't live on campus or hang out with the kidos so I don't know how to answer this question honestly.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
