There isn't air conditioning in a lot of the dorms which really makes it uncomfortable at the beginning of the school year. There are also a lot of dorms that are quite a ways away from the educational buildings which make it pretty brutal in the winter.

The freshman dorms are awesome. I live in Edgren which is on Freshman Hill. All the dorms are similar on Freshman Hill. The RA's and RD's are really nice and honestly care about how you are doing in school, life, and in your faith. Nelson (the other freshman dorm) is closer to the academic buildings but doesn't have air conditioning. Most floors get really close throughout the year and there is definitely hall pride.

Housing and Growing – Housing at Bethel University is the average dorm room your Freshmen year; small, cramped, but easily comfy. The furniture is huge. Sometimes leaving you feel like a munchkin in The Wizard Of Oz, but the people you get to know in these hobbit holes are worth getting to know. Which makes living in a cramped room the finest place to live. Having to live in a small area with another person and not having enough room to put all your stuff makes someone learn how lucky most adult house owning Americans have it. It also teaches you to value other people and gain a high tolerance for messy munchkin roommates. It's a great place to live because you learn truly how to live as an adult and how to interact with all sorts of different people. And that's part of what college is supposed to do.

Above Average Housing – The freshman housing is a bit cramped, but upperclassmen housing is good.

Good Housing – The housing at Bethel is pretty great. Freshmen dorms are the only dorms in the one room, two person style, and even in your Freshmen year there is the option to live in a suite. After freshman year its all suite, townhouse, and apartment style living. All buildings are in close proximity to the academic buildings (some super close) and all buildings are in good shape with good furniture. Bethel is a dry campus and that is highly enforced. But if you look hard you can find the ocasional dorm room party.
