“Depressing,” “weird,” “horrible,” and “crazy” are some of the words students use to describe the Binghamton weather—these are the words we’re allowed to print, anyway. At Binghamton, you will be sure to get a taste of every season, sometimes all in the same day. Yes, it is cold and cloudy; winter is long, and it tends to rain and snow a lot. But the snow can make for some fun activities, and many students point out that when the weather gets nice, and it gets really nice, the students appreciate it even more.
The weather is not the greatest attraction anywhere in upstate New York. At least the crazy conditions bring people together during the long winter months and make the nice days seem all the more sweet. Still, if you hate cold weather and need to see the sun at least once or twice a week, you might be very unhappy at Binghamton.

Not as bad weather as it rep says. A little cold but always pretty nice until the snow hits but that is not unmanageable

Unsuspecting Weather
At Binghamton, you never know what kind of weather you will be encountering. However, classes and events are close enough to the dorms that there is a lot of convenience for things to still go on as scheduled.

College Prowler guides are in the hands of students throughout the entire process. Because you can't make student-written guides without the students, we have students at each campus who write, edit, and survey their peers for every guide that we publish.
