Students at Biola will notice that, for the most part, the campus is really tech-savvy. The operating system of preference on Biola's campus is Apple. Anyone who visits will notice that nearly everyone outside with their computer is a Mac user. This doesn't mean that PCs aren't accepted, though! The computer store on campus specializes in Apple computers and products, but they also sell other computer software and hardware that would be compatible with PCs. The computer store does not, however, sell PCs, rather it offers special deals on Apple products, such as the Apple iPad and the MacBook Air.
Every now and then, the Internet Wi-Fi will peter out, but it works rather well compared to most public networks, and the IT crew on campus is always quick to get it back up and running, and despite the five- to 10-minute wait on average for help, they're usually able to diagnose the problem. In addition to that, the Internet is generally very quick, although those who find themselves making hefty downloads will discover that their Internet will slow down considerably when trying to complete the download.
