Rankings & Grades
Picking a college is hard, but we're here to help. The lists at the beginning of this book group 410 schools in a variety of categories. Interested in location, size, or selectivity? Check the lists. Curious about which schools have the best dining, dorms, or local atmosphere? We rank those, too. Cross-compare between the different lists to find the schools that match all of your needs.

TIP: First, decide what's important to you. Are you a party animal or straight-laced? A sports nut or a bookworm? A city kid or a nature-lover? Numbers and rankings can never provide the final answer; this is why we cover everything from academics to dining. It might be helpful to make some notes that detail what each category means to you. It's your four years—make the most of it.

Individual School Profiles
Dive into our school-specific sections and find out why those colleges you have your eye on scored well in one category and poor in another. Just like the original College Prowler guidebooks, each school's overview is student-written and provides its own unique dialogue to help you discover if the college is right for you. Each in-depth section dedicates two pages to a specific school and provides stats and reviews on a sampling of our categories. There's also a report card for each school that lists student satisfaction grades for all of the 20 areas we cover.

Verbal Outtakes
We come across a lot of crazy student quotes, so we figured we'd share. Flip through these pages if you need a good laugh. Choosing a college doesn't have to be so stressful.
