B-
Racist
"Lack of social diversity" doesn't describe BC's social scene accurately - it's more of a lack of assimilation. It's a serious problem here. I've never, ever in my life, felt as if my race was an obstacle socially until I came to BC. I've always had a very diverse set of friends, and never thought anything about it. Just in the last week, I have had two instances of racism against me: I heard someone laugh about "that Asian wearing vineyard vines" from their window as I walked past, and in an elevator my friend and I were simply minding our own business and chatting and as some girl left the elevator she said "Bye, make sure to get A+'s on all of your tests!"
Seriously unbelievable (I'm less than half Asian). I think if you're a minority here, being accepted is much more difficult than in other schools. So much so that I would advise minority freshman to not come here. You might get caught in what is infamously known as the "Asian bubble," or whatever bubbles exist outside of the douchy, bro bubble. Again, I have never had race, ever in my life, be an issue before coming here.
