College Prowler Take
Parking is pretty much non-existent on campus! Nobody has a car because BC really doesn’t let anyone have a permit unless they are a student nurse or teacher. Some students choose to find local businesses where they can pay for parking, but that can run up to 200 bucks a month. If you want to use your car to drive to class, be prepared to pay. New regulations of the parking garage charge students $3 an hour to park, with a maximum of a $20 fee per day. This may not seem like a big deal, but these fees add up—FAST! It’s really not worth bringing your car to campus—it’s such a hassle, and you probably won’t need it that often anyway. Finding random spots in Brighton forces you to practically memorize the city parking restrictions and the timing of towing. Furthermore, parking on the streets surrounding Chestnut Hill is a royal pain, so if you are lucky enough to have your own car, it’s easier to just leave it at home with your folks. Plus, public transportation is good enough to get you where you’re going, and honestly, driving is crazy here anyway. The T and BC buses are much easier and cheaper.

Parking on campus can be a nightmare. There are only a few streets where you can park for free, and you will get an expensive ticket if you park on campus where you are not supposed to without a parking permit, which are also expensive. It's probably better if you do not have a car until your junior or senior year—there's really no need for it. The campus is very compact and ideal for walking.

You can't park at Boston College unless you commute or are the starting quarterback. It really isn't much of a benefit though—it is much easier and cheaper to take the T into the city or wherever you need to go.

It's not easy to park, and freshmen can't bring a car. It's kinda a pain in the butt when people try to have friends visit, but it's not like a constant bother.
