Recently, the administration has put a lot of money and effort into improving the student facilities on campus. While students have noticed the improvements, no one seemed to be especially moved by the changes. But in comparison with other schools in the area, BU certainly has a large amount of money to play with, and most buildings are up-to-date and well equipped for student needs.

There are many new and recently renovated facilities on campus, including parking areas, the Fitness and Recreation Center, and Student Village II. The new dorm will allow many more students to stay on campus instead of having to live in the nearby Hyatt during their first semester. All of the dining halls, especially in the West Campus and the Student Village, have also been renovated in the past few years. Depending on the particular college—which tend to receive different amounts of funding—some buildings are in better condition than others. This also goes for places to study, and many students do not seem to enjoy Mugar, the main library on campus. Nevertheless, due to its large size and central location, the library is packed come finals time.
