College Prowler Take
While BU certainly has its downfalls, most of which are due to the sheer size of the University, there are plenty of opportunities to take full advantage of all that it has to offer. For the resourceful and motivated, a little effort will go a long way. The most important thing is to utilize your professors to your advantage. It is their job to be available to their students, and while some are certainly more attentive than others, students are not turned away by a professor when they have gone looking for opportunities or support. Keeping busy, being well-organized, and choosing a course of study that truly stimulates your intellectual interests will all be really helpful in having a successful experience at BU. Many students dread graduation day, and therefore, leaving Boston is not something they look forward to. On the flip-side, countless others would argue the opposite perspective. Accept your environment and work with it, as well as against it. Do not stay inside for too long, and do not drink away your college years. Make school a priority, and hang out with your professors (they are the best resource you have). Boston is a huge city with a really large population of young people. If you are looking for a taste of city life, and think that you would be able to establish yourself at a big university in a high-paced atmosphere, it is definitely possible to find your niche here. I love it! I've found so many more...
I love it! I've found so many more people from all walks of life and with different points of view and outlooks on life. I would definitely come here again because I have found so many people that I can get along with and enjoy spending my time with. I live in a cooperative house and absolutely love it!

The best part about being at BU is...
The best part about being at BU is having the city at your disposal. We are in the middle of everything, which makes it easy to get involved in many things off campus. Classes are rough in the sciences and very competitive, but, overall, I can't see myself elsewhere. I just didn't really need the sprawling campus like some do—I wanted to be where the action was, and that's exactly what I got.

BU is perfect for me. I wouldn't...
BU is perfect for me. I wouldn't choose any other school to go to. I've found a healthy balance between working hard academically and having a great social life. I adore being right in the city of Boston, yet I also feel like BU has fostered a cozy home within the city.

BU is just fine. Sometimes I feel like I don't fit in, but in a school of 16,000 you're bound to find some people like you. I wish I had more friends, not just acquaintances.

I really like Boston University,...
I really like Boston University, but I could do without the cold weather. It's nice to live near the city of Boston, although I wish I had more time to explore it. Although I am enjoying my experience here in Boston, I think if I could do it over again, I'd try a different campus setting, perhaps somewhere warmer and with a more well-defined campus area, just to try something different. But, there's nothing like the city of Boston!
