Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The quality and experience of on-campus housing at Brandeis really depends on whom you ask. Half of the dorms at Brandeis are newly renovated and the other half desperately need to be updated. The bathrooms are cleaned Monday–Friday but tend to get pretty gross on the weekends. The cleaning staff are friendly and usually do a good job. Freshmen and sophomores aren't required to live on campus, but it is available to those who want to. Most juniors and seniors are able to find on-campus housing, but the housing lottery doesn't guarantee housing to juniors or seniors.

Ridgewood, Massell, Village, & Rosenthal are located near Sherman Dining Hall and Shapiro Campus Center. North, Usen Castle, & East are located near the North Academic Quad, Usen Student Center, and the library. Ziv, 567, Grad, and the Mods are considered to be far from the rest of campus. The Village, Ridgewood, North & Grad have all been recently updated and are very nice locations. However, East, Ziv, the Castle, and the Mods are in desperate need of repair and renovations. The BranVan drives around all day and most of the night to transport people to far dorms when they have to stay late on main campus. It is a testament to Brandeis’s on-campus housing that so many students choose to stay on campus.

Great Variety!

Great variety in Waltham. From Baan Thai to Elephant Walk to Asia Wok and Prime Deli. It's all great and better than that monotonous campus food.

Brandies Dorms Are Nice, Only Upperclassmen Get Ac

The freshman dorms at Brandeis are pretty nice, the sophomore housing is a mixed bag, and the upperclassman dorms are great. Only the upperclassman dorms have ac though.

Dorms

Freshman dorms are okay, they're kind of like a box. Sophomore housing is depressing. But once you're an upperclassman housing is nice.
