There are a lot of things going on at my school socially. You can always walk through the hallways and see so many fliers and announcements for clubs, job fairs, workshops, bake sales and whatever else is going on at that time. Its just a really exciting, uplifting and motivating enviornment

Resources on campus are available to all students, easy to access and equipment is always in tip top shape

The wireless network is pretty good in my school and because I have a personal computer and printer I don't usually venture into the computer labs but I know that it isn't a hard process to complete

I know that my school has a lot of alumni who come and try to give back and help students with jobs and internships but I am not very knowledgeable on it as I have not reached that stage of my education as yet

My experience at school so far has been a really good. All my professors are very hands on and the class sizes are perfect. The only thing I have somewhat of a problem with is the way I get information late about important things like financial aid status and when grants and loans are honored
College Junior 2013-11-11T15:08:51Z
So far my school experience has been extremely convenient. My classes start at 6 in the evening only two days a week which gives me enough time to have a full time job and not be overwhelmed or distracted from school

I have not taken any online courses at my school as yet so I don't know much about that program

Being a Business Administration and Management major at Briarcliffe is very fulfilling because a lot of my professors dont just teach but are usually professionals as well. So there's a mixture of practical classroom learning and actual real life application, to me that is the best way to learn.

Some academics offered at my school are nursing, accounting, and graphic design. Registering for school was especially easy. You were contacted after your initial inquiry right away and set up with a one on one admissions rep to guide you through the process and get you started

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Briarcliffe is what I would consider expensive but it is a private college so its sort of expected. I'm in the military and they helped me thoroughly to make sure I got the assistance that I needed right away, they work with you to set up affordable payment plans if you need it and books are included in the tuition which is a plus.

The Student body at Briarcliffe is amazing because of its diversity. There are people there from all different races, religious background, and age groups. Its good to always see so many different friendly faces around campus

When I was a ground student at Briarcliffe's Patchogue campus I found getting to a computer was easy. Every computer and printer was working properly in each class room that had them. When I brought my laptop to campus I found the network running fine that there was never any issue logging into the network to do research or to log into places like google docs or skydrive.

I like online classes. I never thought I would and I was nervous before switching. I find it demanding, but I like the extra work it gives a student like myself. When I was a ground student I used to pay for gas and take a lot of time getting to school. That was twice a week and total of 124 miles each week. Here I can work at my own pace and still be able to submit my work on the due date.

Unlike SUNY Stony Brook, Briarcliffe offers a better student to teacher ratio. Here I feel that the teachers are approachable and that they know how to mesh well with students.Class size is small enough so that students can get time in with the Professor and they know who you are off the bat if you run into them in the halls.

The workload is manageable, and the assignments given to the students allows them to research things associated with their program accordingly. I certainly learned a great deal of many things that I was not aware of at the time. I also like the online environment which allows me more freedom to participate or watch archive lectures on my time, but still working on the weekly time tables of the course.

The class registration process for me was different than any other school I've gone to, it was a little bit difficult because I was used to picking my own schedules date times ect here they pick the schedule for you which was a little bit of a hassle when you work full time and need a specific schedule.

I have this a b+ because I think they have a really great staff. Something that I love about this school is that the classes are not so big and you also get alot of repeat teachers, it gives them the opportunity to know you by name and really learn your way of learning. This is great for me with more one on one help when I need and it's a very personal environment. This is amazing to me because it helps to advance my education , they give more time and effort to make sure you fully understand the material you are learning. The advisors are wonderful, I came over as a transfer student and they just made the experience so easy and painless, they helped me every step of the way and I feel confident in my education here.

I give briarcliffe and easy A because things can get very stressful when your in school and your computer crashes , they make their computers very easy to access and I am still able to type papers when I need to, it helps take off alot of extra stress. The speed is great Im never sitting around waiting for something to load the computers are pretty fast and all work well, they have the programs that I need as well which is very convenient.

Briarcliffe campus in patchogue makes their resources very available to their students, it has a great library to catch up with some reading or homework, they provide computers which is really great for me considering my computer crashed on me it makes it very easy to access the information I need as well as I'm still able to type papers. They also have a cafe which is always kept clean which is also great for me because I work during the day and then head to classes right after leaving very little time to eat in between , so having the cafe there fully stocked is a great resource. This campus also has amazing staff which I have to say is a great resource, I've never met a group of advisors more willing to help you in any way they can, I came over as a transfer student and they just made it so easy and comfortable to do so.

The computer network is always having problems. There's not a day that goes by where a professor doesn't excuse something being turned in late because of the network. While getting a pass like that is helpful, it's also pretty frustrating, not knowing whether your work will get there on time or not

Mostly, my school consists of working-class people with full-time jobs or families. They often juggle many different roles in addition to being students. While they are happy to socialize and make friends, this is not a priority. They are getting an education so they can seek a different life or career.
College Sophomore 2013-07-06T04:31:33Z
Everyone is very easy to catch hold to from administrators to teachers. The student to faculty ratio is 1:1 so it makes it very easy to figure out the answers to any questions I may have.
College Sophomore 2013-07-06T04:28:06Z
Many of the professors are either currently in the profession they teach for or have recently retired so a lot of the knowledge the share is of first hand experiences.
