Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

BYU-Idaho does not have any Greek life. The school does not have any established fraternities or sororities. However, there are many opportunities to get involved in other academic and social groups offered through the University and to make friends with classmates, roommates, and society and organization members. There are also sports, hobby-related, political, and cultural groups that have regular activities and meetings, as well as fundraising and events for different causes, similar to how sororities or fraternities function to create unity and pride.

Many students don't mind that Greek life isn't a part of the University because of the other organizations they're able to be a part of, and the typical associations people have with fraternities and sororities don't fit with the University's mission and purpose. So, ultimately, there is no reason for BYU-Idaho to have any Greek life, and students get along just fine without it.

Um Greek....Uh

I don't think there is much Greek life here at school. It may be there, but I have never encountered it as of yet. We have Greek classes and clubs that go with them, but that's about it.
