A BYU experience is unlike anything else. The things that you will learn go far beyond what is taught in the classrooms, and the people that you will meet are exceptional. Researching the school, and being familiar with the rules and expectations of students, will make the transition smoother and help you get the most out of your BYU experience. Talking with people who have attended, reading books such as this one, and looking at the BYU Web site (www.byu.edu) are all great ways to make sure that this is really the school for you. If you decide that BYU is what you want, then jump in and enjoy it! You are in for a great and character-building experience. Brigham Young Student ReviewsWhat's This?Filter:

BYU Campus Strictness
A-
We have an Honor Code that we agree to live by to come here. The Honor Code is fairly strict compared to other schools, but for the most part it consists of things that people at BYU wouldn't/shouldn't be doing anyways. I actually enjoy the Honor Code. However, sometimes authority on campus is unneccessarily strict. |

Off Campus Dining
A-
There are a lot of off campus places to eat nearby. Unfortunately most of them are fast food places. |

English Language Majors
A-
It's very interesting to be an English Language Major because we juggle between English and Linguistics, both other majors at BYU that we have a lot of interaction with. Most people in this major have the same minor, though we have a large variety of career goals in mind. |
