The Life Sciences department is great. Many of the classes translate over to other majors within the college, so if someone were to change their major in the first 2 years to something else in the Life Sciences college then there would be no problem. My career goals are to get a job that will provide for my future family and will be something that I can go to work and not have to worry about after work is over. My concerns are just the need for Physical Therapists, but looking at it on the internet I can see that there is a need.

Provo is a wonderful town to live. I have found that the people here are genuinely friendly. There is also a plethora of things to do, whether hiking, camping, shopping, country dancing, skiing, eating out, etc.. There is always something available to do.

There is a great amount of parking available to students at BYU but, unfortunately no matter which on campus lot you choose to park in, you are in for a good long walk or climb up the hill ti get on the main part of campus.

There are many places available across campus to eat. Some options include the Cougar Eat, which has several restaurant option. I've heard that they are all pretty good, and that there are a good variety of options.

The weather isn't to bad. Overall it is usually quite nice. It can get pretty hot during the summer, but that is to be expected given this is the desert. In the winter is get pretty cold and snowy, but it is livable.

There is many Computer labs available across campus. It can get crowded around exam times, with people getting essays and projects finished. But overall it isn't to bad.

There are lots of different apartments to choose from, but none of them are great. The only reason that this grade isn't an F is that most of the apartments are full of cool people.

Most programs are competitive but possible to get into. Several programs are top rated and very difficult to get into.

There are a ton of unique and cheap places to eat off-campus.

BYU has long been the number one rated stone cold sober school. This is not a big problem. However, as with many college campuses there seems to be some prescription drug abuse.

I love my major! Sociology majors have very neat opportunities with internships and volunteering programs working closely with local junior high schools. The workload is average and applicable with very little "busy-work." There are so many different classes to choose from to fulfill the requirements of this program and class size is relatively small; all of my professors have known my name and are very personable and approachable. As for job opportunities, the professors are very helpful in this endeavor and have many resources which they email to students with at least once a week.

I don't park on/near campus because there is not that great of a need for it, but my roommates do and it is not that great. The availability and convenience of parking spaces is slim and horrible to maneuver in the parking lots. You have to get to campus really early to get a good parking spot if you do not have a permit. Parking enforcement is very strict and fines are relatively high.

Brigham Young University is located in Provo. It is in a safe and friendly neighborhood. There are several chances to enjoy cultural activities such as the Latin Festival and the Freedom Days. There are few different shopping centers located near the campus; everything in Provo is pretty much in walking distance. It's great!

The very large majority of students at BYU are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This makes BYU an exceptional place because most people have high standards, morals, and values and have a drive for excellence in their academic pursuits.

Athletics at BYU is a large part of student life. Football games are usually packed with students dressed in school colors filled with school spirit, excited and ready to support their team. Most all students are excited and involved with the athletic programs at BYU.

BYU has every necessary facility and more. Almost all are free with your student ID and if you are currently attending school. The library is one of the best in the nation with many resources for students and professors. There are many beautiful shady places to study outside on campus near fountains or gardens. There are regular campus activities.

There are a variety of restaurants near campus, in addition to dining areas located near the mall nearby. The majority of restaurants are fast-food, but if you are willing to take a short drive downtown there are nicer places. Occasionally, there are student discounts available with your student ID card.

There are tons of places to choose from, and there is a place to fit every budget. The only thing that can be frustrating for people is the housing had to be BYU-approved if you're a single undergrad.

BYU is a Mormon school...if you're looking for a place with a thriving nightlife, I'd say this isn't the place for you. There's tons to do, such as hiking, biking, concert-going and ward party hopping, but I don't really know of any great bars or clubs
College Senior 2013-07-16T00:28:50Z
BYU has plenty of computers and labs throughout campus; I feel like they aren't really advertised well, so I didn't really know about them until my sophomore year when I was living off campus and didn't want to haul my computer with me. The network reliability is spotty– you get good connection speeds in main buildings, but there are some buildings, like the JFSB that don't have any wireless internet, which is super frustrating. There are printers throughout campus as well, and they always work well unless you have 5 minutes left to turn in your assignment...

I liked living off campus because there was more of a variety of students and people to meet. It was easier to meet different types of people instead of just byu students

I have not received a lot of financial aid for byu, because it is kind of hard to find and complete. I suggest checking more often and staying on top of deadlines.

BYU is great because of the spirituality that is added to the schooling. I also enjoy the level at which teachers keep the students to while in class and learning. Facilities are top notch, in great shape and very helpful.

I lived at wyview, which was kind of off campus but was considered on-campus housing. It was more like an apartment, I enjoyed this set up.

BYU keeps everything in great shape for their students to learn in. I enjoy my time that I spend in their facilities and on campus.
