COMBINATION OF EVERYTHING AWESOME! BYU has the best weather and prettiest campus! It's hot, cold, warm, cool, everything. Fall and spring is really pretty. It doesnt snow all year round which is wonderful..so by the time youre tired of the snow, its gone and beautiful spring is here! Fall is reaaaaaly pretty. To die for.
College Senior 2012-04-27T18:14:07Z
seriously? there is none at BYU! There's plenty of other awesome stuff to do though, so you won't be missing out on much fun, that's for sure. The students that come here are just not the type. Besides, they know how to have fun without being drunk.

Overall a Great Experience! The school year has not begun yet, but so far I absolutely love the campus environment. There are always fun and wholesome activities to participate in so you are never bored. The work load is challenging, but who doesn't love a challenge?

Campus honor code forbids use of alcohol or drugs and community as a whole does as well. No peer pressure. Policy is enforced strictly.

Easy to find off campus housing. Apartments are priced well and other tenants are easy to get along with.

Everything Is Smooth Sailing – It was really easy for me to apply and receive a loan. The advisors make sure that you know how to save money as much as possible and be smart with the money you're receiving. They trust you and let you know everything that you need to do to pay it off when it's due.

True BYU fans are die-hards. It doesn't matter which sport it is or how we play, those of us who truly love BYU athletics stand by our teams. Of course, not every student is a true fan. We also have incredible inter-mural sports of which every student can take part.

Everyone Is Similar – There are people from all over the world at BYU, but they are but a small percentage of the overall student body. The majority of students at BYU are white members of the LDS church and therefore have roughly the same views and opinions. Of course, that is a generalization, but compared to other schools even just in Utah, BYU is not diverse.

Mostly Academic – To qualify for a half-tuition scholarship, a student need only maintain a 3.5 GPA. The application process is fairly simple, consisting of a few essays. The university honors the government's FAFSA as well. As for a full-tuition scholarship, a student needs to have a 34+ on the ACT as well as maintain a decently high GPA (although I am unsure of the exact number).

Pretty Nonexistent – Because BYU is a religiously affiliated school with most students adhering to the university honor code, there really isn't a drug or alcohol problem. Granted, if you're looking for trouble, you would probably be able to find it. However, the majority of students avoid drug/alcohol use and the presence of these substances on campus is nonexistent.

First Rate – I've never had trouble with on-campus printers or computers. The computers are all in good repair and the printers are almost always functioning. If there is a problem, there are always attendants ready to assist you. The on-campus wireless is phenomenal; it is never slow! The library has laptop rentals and you can even rent a laptop for the semester for a really low cost. All in all, the technology is first rate!

Most people drive themselves. Buses are available, but don't run as often as a major city. It is reasonably cheap to buy a bus pass for the month or semester. Not much of a need though as everything is pretty close to campus.
College Senior 2012-04-23T16:07:32Z
Pretty Strict – BYU has a no tolerance policy about breaking the law or Honor Code. A minor infraction will get you a warning, but anything more severe is likely to get you kicked out. Just be smart and don't do anything stupid.
College Senior 2012-04-23T16:05:39Z
The drug and alcohol scene at BYU is virtually non-existent. The required Honor Code for students requires no alcohol or drugs, or you could be kicked out of the school. Great environment to learn.

Happy With Sociology – I was a sociology major and I enjoyed all the classes. I wasn't sure about sociology at first but I ended up just sticking with it and it was good. I would do it again. My goals are to go on to get my masters in public administration focusing on non-profit management

Very Strict – All students have to sign a student honor code agreeing to no drinking, drugs, etc. A very high moral code. EX no members of the opposite gender in your room

Very High Student Involvement – BYU has a very high student involvement and school spirit. It has good athletic facilities and good team performance. Good IM sports, very fun.

the transportation is good. Everything is within waking distance, except some apartments, but there is a buss system that runs till 7 or 8.
College Student 2012-04-14T23:06:08Z
BYU has a strict code of conduct. No drugs, alcohol, or indecent exposure. Little to no peer pressure. A safe fun and friendly environment.

When it's good it GLORIOUS. But it's pretty fickle...very subject to change. Summers are usually really good but winter is rough.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
