For the most part, BYU maintains very up-to-date computer labs with helpful TA's staffing them. The athletic facilities are state of the art. The library is perfect for study and has everything you could possibly need.

I Love It Here – BYU is an amazing place to be. I have had great experiences so far and I can't imagine having gone anywhere else. It is a lot of work if you want to keep your grades up, and it is a stricter school than most, but this has helped me to focus on school and learn and prepare for my career. I have personally grown so much. It has been lots of fun to be here. I love this school and it's perfect for me.

Great Variety of Dining Options – Olive Garden and Coldstone Creamery are my favorite places to go that are close to campus. Another good place is Brick Oven, which is a pizza place located right next to campus. There are also lots of fast food options near like Subway, Taco Bell, Little Caesar's, Wendy's, and quite a few frozen yogurt and ice cream places. Downtown Provo has lots of great dining options, including nicer restaurants, and is not too far away from campus.

So Many Fun Options – Provo and the surrounding area have a fun water park called Seven Peaks, a beautiful waterfall attraction at Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon, neat science and art museums, two shopping malls, lots of great restaurants and stores, and a celebration and activities going on downtown during holidays. There are always tons of options available for having fun.

The financial aid website was very helpful and straightforward with people available to help with questions. There are some hoops to jump through as always but they are willing to listen to you.

There is a great student rate for the UTA Bus system to get from housing areas to campus and shuttles to and from the airport directly on Campus. parking is difficult but manageable.

Good Eats – There are a ton of smaller operations close to campus that offer variety at a good value. Sammy's is a great student hang out as well as J-Dawgs, the BYU Creamery and Slab Pizza. Spoon it up is also great for a quick treat. If you are willing to go a little farther and spend a little more, you can find some specialty places as well as all the typical chain restaurants.

They Are Out There – Seems like if you do decently well and are willing to put in the time and effort it isn't too hard to get some aid.
College Senior 2011-12-21T23:23:50Z
Hanging Out With Friends – There isn't anything too crazy to do in Provo. But there are tons of students around who are always looking to have some fun so you can usually work something out that is pretty fun.

School Helps but Cost Doesn't – There are a lot of off-campus housing options and they are widely dispersed around campus. Many of them are older and could use renovating, especially with the cost. Most are rather expensive and would probably fill better if they were a bit cheaper for college students. Safety is not really an issue in Provo but I feel that some more street lights could be put in. The school definitely helps students find accommodations and such.

Biochemistry from a Girl's Perspective – Being a biochemistry major is not easy. It's one of the hardest if not THE hardest major in college and mostly a male dominant environment. There is a lot of pressure for a girl to do well in this major when she is competing against men. There is a lot of work and the professors seem a bit out of touch with how to teach the material. The workload is heavy, as to be expected but the curriculum and facilities make up for it. There is not a lot of help given to those who are looking for internships or jobs but there are a lot of fliers hanging around to help get people looking in the right direction.

Values With Dignity – BYU is a religious university with different values and religious affiliates from all over the world. There are a lot of couples that get married and have kids in college.
College Senior 2011-12-21T07:21:42Z
Eating Healthy – BYU has a great amount of food choices on and especially off-campus. There are a ton of restaurants close proximity of campus and walking distance.

Provo Is a Safe Place – Provo is a college town full of mostly members of the LDS church and most have gone on church missions or are married at a young age. Family and education is a big thing here. It is pedestrian and bicycle friendly place. There are honest people and friendly folks who attend BYU.

Will Change Your Life – I love Brigham Young University. It has a great atmosphere, I have made some wonderful friends, I have been academically challenged spiritually nurtured, and intellectually stimulated.

No Drug or Alcohol Use. Zilch – BYU has a strict honor code which includes an agreement to not abuse drugs or drink any alcohol. This is in keeping with the LDS church's belief that we should abstain from these things. The students all abide by these rules.

BYU has one of the largest libraries in the U.S. There is plenty of space for study even during busy times like finals week.
Some of the athletic facilities I have used are the pool, the running track, and dance studios. There is also a gym available but I have not used it so I don't know how good it is. There are so many things available in the athletic department.
The Campus is absolutely beautiful and very well kept.

All Around Solid – BYU's facilities are good, they have everything you need. Campus has plenty of places to study at a desk, but if you want a quite place with a nice soft chair on your own you might have to try a few places before you find one open. All facilities are of good quality and provide what you need without much flare
College Junior 2011-12-19T16:04:32Z
Nothing Special, but Can't Complain – Network is reliable and has good speed. Plenty of wireless access and printers (black and white or color prints cost the same). If you don't have a computer you might end up waiting a bit for a computer to open up, but normally only a problem during certain times of the semester. Laptops, you may have the occasional problem of finding an outlet to recharge, but normally you should be fine

Clean Campus! We have a strict code of honor on campus and abstaining from drugs and alcohol is part of that

Enjoyed It – I would choose this school again mainly because of the people I have met. There are lots of people who share my values and interests. The professors, in general, are phenomenal and really work with you. BYU is a great environment.

Good Food – On my budget, I don't go out to eat much, but there are some great places, most of which have some claim to fame. There is a great variety of restaurants and the cost is generally reasonable. The best places include J Dogs and Cafe Rio.

Great Professors, Good Programs – I have absolutely loved my professors and there are lots of program opportunities. I came because of the accredited programs and the study abroad opportunities. The professors are almost always happy to help with course work and show sincere interest in your improvement.

Snow will never cancel classes. It can get tricky walking to classes, but you'll gt used to it. It can be one of the most beautiful places in the country during summertime.
