We have an amazing library. Many activities going on throughout each semester. Campus grounds are beautiful and taken care of daily.

Sports are big, but so is education. There is a good balance. There seems to be a lot of the student body that will attend the school's sports events.

There is a wide selection of off-campus housing near the school. Landlord ratings vary but overall seem to be good. Parking in Provo where BYU is located has tried to establish better parking over the years but the town still seems to feel pretty crowded for a college town.

There seems to be a sufficient amount of computers on campus where if students need to get online or print an assignment off the isn't usually a problem

Food Ahoy – Food is readily available, but the on-campus restaurants are ones that you've probably never heard of, with the exception of taco bell and subway.

Best thing is that the students are so ridiculously nice to each other! There are majors I've never even heard of here, it's such a wide variety. It's got an excellent reputation for pre-medical studies and a highly competitive nursing school.

there really are no drugs or alcohol at our university. We follow a strict honor code and most of us know how harmful those substances can be for our bodies.

Athletic Training – As a Division 1 school we offer our athletes nothing but the best so any training facility on campus is top notch. The atmosphere is fantastic. The workload can be heavy but it's more than possible to get through it. This is not a major for those just hoping to graduate. You have to love what you do and do it well or there will not be any sort of satisfaction. Something unique about our program is that we get to work closely with actual injuries and get a ton of hands on experience before we are sent off into the world to do it ourselves.

Be Smart – To get a scholarship from BYU you have to be a great student. Everyone is competing for them, so you have to stand out more than you would at another school.

You can find anything you want near campus. Fast food, nice dining, what you want for the day, you can find it.

Great School – If you are looking for a school that will help you learn, challenge you and let you have fun, BYU is the place. Great programs, teachers are great and everyone is looking for a good time

Harder Than High School – There is such a huge difference between high school and college. I feel that nothing in high school could have prepared me for the workload required to even pass the courses I am in. The professors are always willing to help out, but sometimes you just got to learn to do things on your own.

Buses, Not So Hot- Rides, There's Always an Offer – From experience, the buses here can sometimes be expensive and difficult to navigate. I think the price just went up for a bus pass as well. But to be honest, if you aren't a short walk away from campus, I absolutely guarantee that you will be able to find someone in your apartment complex that would be willing to help out and give you a ride. People here in Provo are very friendly and willing to serve. You might even find someone with a similar schedule.

Honor Code Enforced – At BYU we have a policy called the Honor Code. Some think it's strict, but honestly, I feel like it's a tool for self-discipline and fosters integrity. There are a few things that might seem ridiculous, like shaving- boys need to have there face clean shaven- but overall, I think the honor code is less of a "strictness" or a "burdening" policy, and more of a self sustaining or growth, responsibility teaching, and real adult life experience kind of policy. It helps students understand the responsibilities, integrity, and moral compass that is required and often needed out there in the real world of careers and professionals.

Not as Good – BYU is doing their best to make parking better but during fall and winter if you don't get there early you better take the bus.

Health & Safety:
The Safest Campus – Being a religious school it has a very safe environment. You can leave your computer, iphone, and all your stuff on your desk go to the bathroom and when you come back everything would still be there. If you lose something you have a 90% change of find it in the "lost and found" people are so honest there

BYU professors are the best they are always willing to help you if you talk to them. Also the TA are always for you. Professors and TA are always available by email and some professors would even give you their home phone number.

Program Set up for Openmindedness – As a Social Science Teaching Major I have found that the programs at BYU are set up to promote a great learning and open atmosphere. The social sciences especially, at Brigham Young University, breed discussion and present multiple opportunities for understanding of different cultures and those of different backgrounds. This program specifically helps students develop well educated and cultivated minds and become responsible members of society.

If you want to go to a party school with co ed dorms and beer parties, Brigham Young University is not your cup of tea. The university is privately owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has an honor code which each student is expected to follow. It requires abstinence from sex, drugs, tea, coffee and alcohol. In addition, it requires its students to uphold honest conduct. While the code of conduct seems restrictive, it transforms your college experience. Students can feel a more spiritual environment and feel safer in a drug and alcohol free institution. Moreover, the university encourages its students to use their careers to enrich and serve others in order to make the world a better place, rather than merely secure a steady job. That is why BYU offers many service opportunities within the school,in the community and around the world. Meanwhile, there are numerous activities and clubs on campus to foster frienship among the students. BYU is a truly unique school which will give an amazing and personally enriching education experience.

There are numerous off campus dining areas, but students at best receive a 10 percent discount, although most do not offer discounts to students. There is a substantial variety of restaurants. The majority are fast food like Panda Express, Burger shops and Teriyaki Stix. But there are also some slightly classier options like Costa Vida, and sit down restaurants like Olive Garden and Los Hermanos. Within a fifteen minute drive radius of the school, you'll find a wide spectrum of food type and cost, from fast food to PF Changs. However, one of the most famous BYU dining locations is J Dawgs. Their hot dogs are amazing and is an enjoyable spot for social gathering.

There is a wide curriculum available at Brigham Young University. Many of the professors are knowledgeable in their fields, however, they don't have as much availability to work with students as the teaching assistants. The registration process can be very tedious and particularly BYU approves comparitively small amounts of funds and postpones transferring student financial aid funds until a few days before classes start, which can be frustrating if students want to buy books and rent an apartment early. However, they have a friendly student staff to assist people with their financial aid transactions and class registration. Overall, the university has a fabulous value for the education received with a small tuition cost.

Stone-Cold Sober – BYU is known as the most stone-cold sober school in the United States. Most people do not participate in drugs or alcohol. As part of the Honor Code that students sign when they apply, they agree to not participate in drugs or alcohol.

Best Overall Experience – All the professors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful because they really care about the students and the principles they teach. Classes are demanding and tough academically but are also enjoyable and help students grow personally and academically.

Religious Oriented – BYU is a university owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and is located in Utah. It is very friendly and most of the students are LDS (Mormon). It is a very safe and friendly environment.
