Guys & Girls:
For the most part, everyone is really friendly and accepting of one another. While we are not known for our diversity, it is definitely present here, which is good. We like to do fun, random stuff for entertainment.

Extremely Well Kept! The facilities on campus are extremely well kept and taken care of. The library is huge and has so many places to study and so much material. The student center is also extremely large and has many resources available. The only thing I wish, is that they had a larger fitness center on campus for students.

We have devotionals/ forums every week speaking about a particular subject or a religious topic. They are always very interesting and insightful.

Next to None – Drug use can happen anywhere, but BYU has a smaller issue with drug use than most universities, because it asks the students to agree to uphold the Honor Code, which includes not using drugs, based on the beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Apartments Are Pretty Good – As always, all apartments have their positive and negative points. Available off-campus housing for Brigham Young University is in pretty good condition, but there is usually a couple aspects of each apartment that is not ideal; that is life though.

Health & Safety:
Safe Environment – I have never felt unsafe on Brigham Young University's campus. There are very few serious issues on campus, and even little issues are not very common. Campus Police do a great job keeping things in order.

Financial aid is somewhat difficult to get because most kids are extremely good students and heavily involved, but tuition is really affordable.

It is really nice to go to a school where you don't have to worry about drugs or alcohol, etc. Everyone is super nice and it's just a fun atmosphere.

Your Job – The people are great and willing to help, but you have to actually go to the office to get things done.

Early Bird Gets the Worm – Cars are not a good choice, unless you want to get to school before 8am. After that, all the close parking is already filled up. Walking is nice and convenient though.

There is a lot of variety off campus. J-DAWGS has hot dogs, L&L's has real Hawaiian food, Rio's has Mexican food, Panda Express has Chinese food and The Brick Oven has Classic Pizza. All of these are delicious, but the on campus food is just as good and also full of variety.

Extremely Easy Process – The process for applying for Scholarships is extremely easy. All you do is fill out 3 forms and the school matches you to any scholarships you qualify for. Even if you don't receive any, BYU is very affordable.

Snows Quite a Bit – Winter brings a lot of snow but classes are rarely cancelled for weather related reasons. The roads can become pretty icy but the Grounds Crew usually shovels the sidewalk pretty quickly.

Drugs Are Practiculay Nonexistend – Since drugs and alcohol are forbidden at BYU, it is much safer and cleaner than many other campuses. It is a great relief to focus on having fun and studying rather than worrying about drugs.

You Get What You Deserve. This is a competitive school. In general, you get what you earn. If you are incredibly disciplined and have a 4.0 GPA, you're doing just fine. If your really good at sports, music, or art, you can get a good scholarship. For me, it was art. Be the best at what you do and it will pay off.

I get bored with it. We need some inexpensive, fresh food. Unfortunately, most campuses have a monopoly on the restaurants, so its hard to find anything yummy and filling that's under $5.00

Health & Safety:
99.99% Safe – Very safe. I have never felt threatened or worried as I walked home from school at night. BYU doesn't allow drinking, so you don't have to worry about "incidents." Its a great atmosphere and everyone is looking out for eachother.

I Like It Here – I really like BYU. The atmosphere here is great. The people are friendly, the classes are interesting, teachers are nice.

There are many scholarship opportunities at BYU that most students do not take advantage of. They are not widely broadcast and thus searching for them is necessary. The school does provide a scholarship, but I recommend going to the Financial Aid Office to get help finding one that works.

Acceptance of All Thought – Although there is a not a large diversity of religion, being a private school, the diversity of though and culture are rich. There are many international students and people from all over the country. We are all connected through a common religion, but there is always a variation in thought and ideas, which is refreshing.

Help Sessions – There are always places to work with other students or receive free tutoring or help with classwork. The study environment is very positive and I often feel prepared for classes and tests due to these great services provided for all classes. Help sessions done by the assigned teachers' assistances are only the start of the help provided by the school and separate colleges on campus. I know I can succeed because there is always help available for me.

It was a very smooth process. I simply filled out my FAFSA and sent it to BYU. I had to read up on certain loans, but other than that it was great!

We don't have Greek housing here. The influences of sex, drugs, and alcohol are not tolerated at BYU. There are plenty of fun things to do that don't include those three things. It is so sad that the world expects all college students to drink and party. What kind of life is that? Not one that I would want. In my honest opinion, Greek housing is just another way to segregate the popular from the unpopular. I thought we would be done with this nonsense after high school.

Campus Environment – The environment on campus is wonderful! The grounds crew is always keeping the campus beautiful. Brigham Young University is actually ranked one of the most beautiful campuses in the US. My peers are so happy and friendly. People are always willing to give a helping hand.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
