Campus Environment – The environment on campus is wonderful! The grounds crew is always keeping the campus beautiful. Brigham Young University is actually ranked one of the most beautiful campuses in the US. My peers are so happy and friendly. People are always willing to give a helping hand.

It's Smooth, but Hard – BYU is hard to get into, and then it's hard to get financial aid. They take into account need, though, and have ample ways that you can finance school, even if you don't get a scholarship. It is very demanding academically, and it's worth the time, effort, and money.

Religious and Social Activites – I love the religious atmosphere of BYU. It's very student-oriented and the colleges are very good at working with students. The social activites on campus are very diverse. There's a club for just about anything. I love it!

Cars Are Nice – There's a bus system, but it's the public bus system. Campus doesn't have it's own system. It can get expensive to go somewhere farther away regularly if your friends don't have cars.

Scholarship Options – Due to the amount of very intelligent people at BYU getting a scholarship feels near to impossible. Without a perfect GPA, or extreme financial problems, I do not see a way to get a scholarship. However, the school does try to give out as many scholarships as they can.

A Unique Place – On campus at BYU, there are several fun ways to spend time without lowering your standards. There is an art museum, a dollar movie theater, several eating places, and many more weekly activities. Off campus there are many more options. There are several eating establishments, a few malls close by, and a movie theater. One of my favorite things to do is go to the local water park in the summer time. All in all, BYU is a great place to find fun things to do!

BYU is really good about providing as many students as possible with at least some sort of financial aid. The financial aid process is super easy. You just answer a couple questions and fill out your information and BYU will consider you for a lot of their scholarships. Each department also gives scholarships to students studying in that area, which makes financial aid a lot easier.

Parking is fine as long as you are going to class either early in the morning or late at night. But if you try to park in the afternoon you will be driving around for hours looking for parking. The campus police are very strict on parking policies and are constantly monitoring and giving out tickets. I recommend walking or taking the bus because it is much more convenient and you don't have to ever worry about if you will be able to find a parking stall or not.

There Are No Clubs – BYU has an honor code that strictly enforces no drinking. If you do want to hit a bar or club you would have to travel far outside of campus.

Better Have Good Grades – To be considered for any Academic scholarships you pretty much have to be a genius. I was only able to get scholarship from the music program because of my violin playing. Other than that, you better have good grades!

Wireless Network and Need for PC – The WIFI at the school is pretty good. Pretty much everywhere is covered, and it is free if you are a student here. There are plenty of computer spots around campus, but it would be nice to have a laptop, because a lot of classes need computers.

Guys & Girls:
Provo Hype – Molly mormons and return missionaries looking for wives. Freshman getting engaged. About half our students get married by the time they graduate. Its crazy. Overall they are very nice and friendly. They maintain high standards and have clean fun.
College Senior 2011-01-18T06:29:36Z
Provo Eats – Not awesome choices. The usual pizza and burgers as well as hawaiian barbeque and chinese (which is not good)

Finacial Aid Simple – They tell us over and over again when the deadline is. They encourage everyone to apply. There are different options for scholarships, some only require GPA, other more complete ones require essays. There are offices to help find off campus scholarships and there are department scholarships.

Honor Code – It's great that they're here to help us, but somethings either don't get mentioned or get blown out of proportion. There are more immodest girls than there should be. There are guys who swear and purposely rebel against going to church, but somehow they're still allowed to stay at BYU. This may not be so bad if a big deal if other things weren't blown out of proportion.

There are a lot of friendly and outgoing students here. If you get involved with religious groups (wards, family home evening groups, etc...it is a religious school) then it can be a very social atmosphere where you actually remember your fun! If you stay locked up all day that's your fault.

It's a Competitive School – There is a Financial Aid office that is very helpful, but the university is extremely competitive and it is difficult to qualify for and maintain a scholarship, even if you are a great student.

A Different Kind of Party – Well it is a religious school, so there isn't a ton of partying going on. Students have a blast, but they live by the BYU Honor Code which means that there is no sex or drinking. So it's not the type of party that most teenagers want.

Process Was Smooth – If you ask for help and are shown how to do apply it all goes very smoothly. If you don't have the information then you have to seek the information out.

Everyone Loves the Sports Programs – Everyone enjoys going to a game and most people will go to the a basketball or football game at least once. The GYM is also free if you are a full time student and the rooms are always packed. There are so many IM sports for everyone to play as well.

Lots of White Students – There are plenty of white students that attend BYU. Although there are students from all over the US and the world most are LDS. In the engineering and science majors there are much more Asian students and my major is somewhat diverse.

Good Quality – They are always up-to-date as far as software goes, and we have some pretty fancy labs. The only complaint is the keyboards are greasy a fair amount of the time.
College Senior 2011-01-13T01:13:15Z
Be Smart or Dirt Poor – The school makes it easy to apply for loans, but if your looking for a scholarship you better be one smart cookie, or someone who's rather low on the income chart.
College Senior 2011-01-13T01:06:23Z
0 Bottles of Beer on the Wall – There isn't any alchohol or drugs on campus. This is where you really have fun. People can act crazy, have a blast, and still remember it all the next day without a headache. School policy enforcement concerning this is not lenient in any way.
College Senior 2011-01-13T00:57:30Z
A Nice Place – On campus housing is convienent, easy to apply for, and has a great social atmosphere. There are dorms and apartments on campus to choose from, and each has its pros and cons depending on what your looking for. The costs vary but are deffinitely reasonable.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
