Financial aid was a little bit of a hassle for me at BYU. Luckily tuition is incredibly inexpensive compared to most private university's in the United States, but it is still tough to get by without financial aid. After going through all the tedious paper work and applications, I was not offered any financial aid. BYU is also very strict with their scholarships. I have been fortunate enough to receive some kind of scholarship almost every semester, but if your grades drop in the slightest they will take your scholarship away in a heartbeat. I don't mind that though, because it gives you more motivation to work hard and do well in your classes.
