College Prowler Take
Again, due to the Honor Code, drugs are strictly prohibited and rarely seen or heard of. Students deeply appreciate the problems that are avoided by having a drug-free and dry campus and community. The safety benefits and lack of drug- related violence and drunk-driving problems really reinforce students’ commitments to follow these policies. Due to the Mormon culture at BYU, it is unlikely that there would be drug or alcohol problems—even without the Honor Code.
BYU is certainly an anomaly in having such strict rules, but students appreciate the benefits, and the policies are not likely to ever change. There really is no drug scene at BYU, and there probably never will be.

I haven’t seen any. BYU requires all students to adhere to an Honor Code that prohibits such things. While I know it still exists, it seems hard to come by. The school is remarkably clean. |
