all you mormons say the same things. "no drugs no sex no alcohol, but its still very fun without all that". how bout you just try a little bit of partying and and see for yourself instead of just blindly follow mormon orders

If you are looking for a late night, party-intensive, bar and club scene kind of college experience, BYU is not for you. Because of the BYU Honor Code, drinking is prohibited, and, therefore, there are no big bars near campus. The one club in Provo is not huge; Salt Lake does have a bigger "nightlife scene." Nothing in Provo stays open very late. However, this doesn't mean that students go to bed early. Students tend to be very creative in their free time and have plenty of fun despite the lack of venues. There is a pretty good local music scene, and in the summer, there are always bonfires up the canyon.

The Student Council at BYU tries to fill the void of big
parties by sponsoring big opening and closing parties every semester. Provo city has a few fun ordinances that prohibit big, loud, private parties. So if you are planning on throwing huge raves, don't bother. Provo is basically good clean fun or nothing, so make sure that you are ready to be creative in your spare time.
