Provo has a plethora of great restaurants. Any type of chain restaurant can be found here, and there are also lots of good little local places. If you are coming from a place without great Mexican food, you are in luck, because there are plenty of authentic Mexican and South American restaurants.

Fridays and Saturdays bring out the crowds, so the most popular places can get crowded. Also, families in Utah County tend to be large, and lots of people don't leave their kids home; don't be surprised to be seated next to a toddler. The Utah clean air act prohibits smoking in any restaurant; it is a sure tip-off that you are from out-of-state if you ask for non-smoking. There are plenty of great little restaurants, so don't be afraid to tread off the beaten path and explore new cuisines!
