Spirit of Improvement.

So far my experience at BYU has been very uplifting. There is a great environment of respect and honesty on campus. BYU students are determined to study hard and be diligent in their studies. This is something that has encouraged me to be more competitive in order to succeed in my education. I would choose BYU again because the Honor Code that we as students sign makes of Brigham Young University a place to grow academically as well as spiritually.

A School Beyond Compare

Brigham Young University is a school like no other. Many people do not wish to go to our school because we have so many rules and restrictions, or because we are all predominately Latter Day Saints. However, the students who go there have a very different opinion. In my case, I love my school and I embrace the rules and regulations they have set for us. The rules in no way bind us, but rather give us a lot more freedom. One of the many great things about our school is that we have a testing center. Our professors give us on average three days in which we have from eight in the morning until nine at night to go take our tests, whenever we want and on our own time. It gives us a lot of freedom and allows you take tests on your own time. One last thing that I love about my school is that because we have a mostly predominant Latter-Day Saint population, it makes college so much more fun. We are surrounded by people of our own beliefs and people that have our own standards. I wouldn't go to any other school and I certainly wouldn't trade my experiences so far for anything.

I know, without a doubt, that...

I know, without a doubt, that going to BYU was the best thing I could have ever done. Something you should realize is that BYU is predominantly a Mormon school. If you’re not Mormon, then you agree to live by certain standards that might seem foreign to you. Yet, all of the standards are there for a reason. Academically, BYU is tough. There are classes that you are required to take that will challenge you. Almost every instructor will include some aspect of Mormon doctrine somewhere in their teaching, and that can’t be something that bothers you.
