After i graduate i plan to have my own business overseas in Costa Rica. It will be a dream come true, however i am kind of curious that i will have a problem finding a accounting person to work for my business. I have been thinking of ways to make this goal happen. I am pretty positive about having my own business overseas just need a little support and help.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I think my financial aid rep explains the process good and assists with any questions right away

I like the small classes. I get a lot of one on one teaching from the teachers

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I feel like I'm getting a bit of a run around with the financial aid office. One issue after another. It's difficult because my parents filed taxes jointly and are married, but they're separated. It must be confusing. I'm still under 24 so I have to use their income for financial aid. However, since this school is the closest with the program I'm in, I suppose it's worth the money to be able to do what I want to do.

I'm able to take evening classes up until I start my Vet Tech classes, which will happen sooner than I expected. After that I have to go to morning classes. However, it won't affect me too much. Out of the 3 days I go to school, I only work on 2 of those days. I can switch my work schedule to nights on those days.
College Junior 2013-10-14T04:19:46Z
So far I'm in general studies, but my major is vet technology. I'm in professional development right now. I must say that I appreciate the refresher courses before jumping into the big stuff.

My school is very diverse. Many of them are single parents wanting to get a better education. Some have full time jobs. All of my classmates so far have been very nice. However, I know that making friends is not why they are here.
I myself have the same mindset. Education is my number one priority, but if someone needs help, I'm happy to assist.

As soon as day one started I began to work closely with career services to find a part time job.

The career services are pretty good at helping you find employment in your study field and they also do follows ups to make sure everything is going ok at that place of employment

I've noticed there are different ethnic groups at Brown Mackie, and I don't mind at all. You never know what you can learn from other people

There isn't an athletic center at this campus, but it has what a student needs to make it through. There is a good support system, a career center, vending machines in every level, and great teachers. The classes are only three days a week. I take night classes and it works out great with my work schedule. I even have time to take a nap before class.

Tutoring at All Times – While most colleges have tutoring maybe once a week, at Brown MAckie teachers are willing any time of day for as long as you need to provide tutoring for practically anything

Career Oriented, Non Traditional – Because Brown Mackie is more of a vocational school and it is designed to work around people with busy lives it is nowhere near the traditional college full of kids who live on campus partying. People know what theyre there for and they have places to be. But like most colleges you get all walks of life, some are friendly, some are outrageous, and some keep to themselves. It's a nice blend on non-traditional adults and young adults.

Great Facilities – While the campus is broken up into three buildings and it is smaller than the traditional school they really have great well-kept facilities. There is always a computer accessible to any student, they have ipads to checkout at the library, and always a quiet room to study in.

In my short time at Brown Mackie College in Louisville I have thoroughly enjoyed the educational aspect more than I have at any other school. The teachers there are amazing hands down. They are incredibly down to earth and always willing to help in any way. The only downfall is the financial aid and academic scheduling. I have never been more stressed in my life than dealing with that department. Nothing ever works out the way it was planned or explained. I ended up paying WAY more out of pocket than I was initially led to believe. This is by far the biggest downfall of an otherwise exceptional school.
