Even though my EFC is still 0 the government cut my Pell grant from full grant to only 1/4 of that. So, instead of getting $5,555 (approx.), I will now get about $1600. I was supposed to graduate this May but now I have to take one class at a time until I graduate. I need the cash so I can take more classes and graduate on time. One semester to go and my grant gets cut. thanks America!!

Although your grant has been cut, your education is important. Keep plugging away at classes becuase in the long run 1 class at a time is better then no classes at all.

actually 1 class at a time is not better than no classes at all. I'll be lucky if my aid doesn't get cut altogether before I finish just because 1 class at a time takes too long & I've been alerted that new laws will soon deny my a grant completely. If I don't get to finish then what's the point of spending 2 years studying by butt off and then falling 4 classes short with no way to finish (unless I got rich somehow). So, no 1 class at a time doesn't mean anything unless I can actually finish.

Every little bit helps out here right now. You can apply for scholarships for more help to pay for school

I've been in school for 4 years. I already know this. Scholarships are harder to get than anything else. So, it's not like I can get one out of thin air!

Keep trying for more scholerships and grants. Never give up on education! I am in the same boat as you and doing everything I can to continue with my education.

I am positive I will be able to obtain some scholarship funding for my education. Every bit helps and I am grateful for any assistance!
