Of course! You can also major in one and minor in the other, that's what I'm doing! You don't need to declare your major until junior year so you have plenty of time to figure it out!

The communications department seems quite tiny. Besides for a select few, all of the quality professors are within (of course) the college of business.

My favorite professors have been in the communication department! They are very personable and I would definitely recommend it!

Whether you want to start your dream career after college, attend a top graduate program, or travel the world, a Bryant education really does help you to lay a foundation for success. Courses are very focused on preparing students for the real world, and students have many opportunities to gain international experience. While the University is best known for its nationally accredited business school, the College of Arts and Sciences is continually growing as well. All business majors at Bryant are required to minor in a liberal art, and liberal arts majors are required to have a minor in business. As a result, many students spend their first two years at Bryant taking courses to fulfill the curriculum requirements. Although some of the required courses can be tedious, most students agree that the mix of a business and liberal arts education helps them to become well-rounded and stand out against the competition when applying for jobs/internships. Bryant puts a lot of emphasis on group projects in nearly all of its courses. These can often be challenging and time-consuming, but they also help students to learn vital skills such as teamwork and leadership. Bryant students are required to take "Business 101," a course in which students create a business plan with their group and then compete against other groups in several competitions, such as an elevator-pitch competition. The experience is like no other, and the education the students receive from this class allows students to stand out among other schools when applying for jobs in the business world. Professors are very attentive and helpful; they genuinely want to see students do well. Classes are small, typically ranging from as few as 12 to no more than 35 students in a class, so you really get the chance to know your professors and vice-versa.
