Favorite Things To Do
Students are more likely to rent videos from the library than go to the film series movies, but both are popular. The treadmills at the gym are always busy. The Lusty Cup Café is most crowded when it is hosting a local singer/songwriter or a bunch of club meetings, but students can always be found studying there. During the day, students can drop by the Campus Center to find an organized public discussion raging, or in the evening hear a prominent speaker address the community in Thomas Great Hall. When it snows, everyone goes “traying” down the slope to Rhoads Beach on dining hall trays.
Take a walk down to the gym to run, swim, or lift weights. Break up your studies with a foreign film in Thomas. Later, you can get your caffeine fix at the Lusty Cup Café, in the basement of Canaday, or quench your thirst at Uncommon Grounds. In the evening, attend a small musical performance in Aelwyd, one of Bryn Mawr’s new student houses on Cambrian Row.
