Grads Entering Job Market 1 Year: 52%
Advice on Finding a Job/Internship Finding a job on campus is never a challenge. Freshmen work in the dining halls. Upperclassmen work in the libraries, computing services, the gym, administrative offices, and admissions. Hourly pay ranges from $6.75 to $8. Looking for a job after college or during the summers is more complicated, but the Career Center has some good tools to guide you. The services at the Career Center are free and available to Mawrters during and after their time at Bryn Mawr. Alums are a great resource for career advice. There are always opportunities to talk to alums during the year, so look out for Alum Panels on topics that interest you. Networking is always the best way to find opportunities. Networking informally is most effective, as you are likely to find opportunities that are particularly suited to you. Get your résumé proofread in the CDO as soon as you can, as you are more likely to apply for positions during a busy year if you have a résumé ready to go. Departments are also a good source of career information, and many advertise summer opportunities.
