You can pretty easily hide a car on campus, there is a lot of public parking but you just have to move it when the streets are cleaned and not get caught with it on campus which is easy to do if your are smart.
Freshman are not allowed to have a car. There is a shuttle bus that comes at various times that will take you into town to shop at the local Wal-mart or to airports, etc.
are the shuttles free?

Freshmen are not allowed cars on campus, but it is not really necessary to have a car your first year because everything you need is on campus. After freshman year, when students bring their cars, finding a parking place does not seem to be a huge issue. Most students really only complain about the lack of parking near the academic buildings. However, the campus is so small that students can easily walk everywhere they need to go, so cars are more useful for getting off campus to the surrounding area, rather than around campus. Compared to many other universities, Bucknell has a relatively cheap parking permit price.
There are a few parking lots and a lot of areas to park along the street. Street parking can be a pain, though, because each street is cleaned on a different day each week, and if your car is not moved, you’ll be ticketed. It can also be annoying to park on the street during the winter, especially if you have a small car. When the plow comes down the street, your car can get completely snowed in, which results in you spending half the morning shoveling it out of the snow! Sometimes the parking signs can be confusing, which can result in you accidently parking in staff or visiting parking, where you will receive a ticket. On the lower end of campus are two large parking lots that are rarely full, but many students prefer parking on the street because of the close proximity to the dorms. As long as you carefully read the parking signs, parking is relatively stress-free at Bucknell.
