Advice

  • Finding a job, either as an alumnus or as a current student, can sometimes be difficult—especially when you are trying to find flexible hours. The Career Center at Cal Poly has numerous resources, including online job listings through Monster.com, specifically aimed at college students or recent graduates. Other services include job fairs, career counseling, workshops, career libraries, and one-on-one appointments as needed. For internships, make sure to keep an eye out in your college office. They seem to always have organizations faxing over descriptions for students to intern. Also be on the lookout for career fairs put on by the Career Center—they always have good companies in search of students.
