As mentioned in just about every other chapter, you need to jump on a freeway to get to the good nightlife. As for the 21-and-over crowd, you are in for a treat! The best bars and clubs on the West Coast are right here in Los Angeles and Hollywood, about 40 minutes away. A lot of students who are really into the club scene head out there on weekends. Otherwise, a majority of students can be found in Downtown Fullerton, a strip off of Harbor Boulevard that is full of nothing but bars and restaurants. This area is packed on weekends (weekends start on Thursdays, since most students don’t have class Fridays) and people usually bar hop. Be sure to check out Rockin’ Taco, where dueling piano players take song requests and people get crazy dancing on top of the pianos! Some other good places to check out are Back Alley and the Continental Room.
If you aren’t into the whole drinking scene, or are under 21, there’s still a lot to keep you busy. In San Dimas, there’s a great coffee place called Home Brew Coffee where musicians often play. Plush in Fullerton is also great for this. Game Works is full of exciting interactive video games and other games that you can check out. If you still like the club scene but are under 21, the Boogie in Anaheim is 18 and over. The people there are alright, and there are lots of military boys! And the Brandin’ Iron in San Bernardino is also loads of fun. It’s mostly a country bar and club, but Wednesday is college night, and admission is free with college ID.

Most, if not all, of the parties...
Most, if not all, of the parties on campus are fraternity parties, and they are pretty much like what you see in the movies—filled with information you don’t pass along to your parents. |

Parties on campus? Never heard of them. The clubs and bars I go to off campus are usually located in Hollywood, so that should pretty much answer itself. |

If you want a good time and are...
If you want a good time and are looking for a hot-looking crowd, Lucky Strike at the Block is the place to be. There are hot chicks and good-lookin’ guys there. If you aren’t into the drinking scene, you can play pool or bowl. If you do like the cocktails, they have an awesome bar with great bartenders. |

There seems to be at least one...
There seems to be at least one fraternity party every week. If it’s back to school, the end of finals, or rush week, there are at least five parties going on at the same time. Some of the best frat parties are Sigma Chi’s Jamaican Me Crazy, Sigma Nu’s Mardi Gras and Oktoberfest, and Phi Tau’s Halloween party and Midsummer Madness. You can’t miss these parties! |

Parties on campus are always more...
Parties on campus are always more fun when you know people, so get involved. They can go until class starts the next morning sometimes! Downtown Fullerton has all sorts of bars and a fresh crop of college students for you, too, if the pickings get slim. |

The Pomona area isn’t really a happening scene for clubs. However, if you hop on the freeway and head out to Pasadena, Brea, and Orange County—no more than 25 minutes away—you will find plenty of places that are full of great music, hot bodies, and great drinks.

Oak Tree Lanes is a typical bowling alley just a few miles away from CPP. They have a hole-in-the-wall place to eat, too, which is fattening, but pretty good late at night when you are craving junk food. Oak Tree Lanes 990 N. Diamond Bar Blvd. Diamond Bar (909) 860-3558
