For the best non-school-oriented social activities, head to College Avenue, which has plenty of bars, restaurants, and stores. You will find many unique places here that help define Rockridge, the Oakland neighborhood where CCA is situated. Telegraph Avenue also has plenty of options for nightlife. And, of course, San Francisco has a wealth of options, whether you’re looking for a bar, a sporting event, a concert, shopping, or just people-watching.

CCA also offers some activities that focus less on partying, and more on gatherings or games. For example, “Assassin” is a live-action game where you pick someone to follow and try to “assassinate” using mock weapons. There is also “Ninja Capture the Flag,” where students dress in all black, go out late at night, and play capture the flag. There are many of these types of activities offered by the school that go on throughout the year.
