Now, MY experience here has been great so far. The campus isn't too strict at all so long as you aren't a complete and total idiot. Yes, you can have tons of fun here so long as you aren't stupid about it. It's not like CMA is the only dry campus in the state of California. I'd say the strictest part about CMA is having to go to watch and getting drug tested, but the work ethic you gain from that is more than worth the extra effort on your part.

Aside from Campus Security, CMA has its own enforcement group called the Corps. of Cadets, an organization that attempts to the run the campus as a military academy, and attempts to enforce military discipline amongst itself, and the campus community. Be prepared for room inspections, drug random drug tests, unannounced visits, and unsolicited summons. Unless you know the right people or are part of the Corps. of Cadets.

Campus has standards all Cadets must live by. If you follow the rules (uniform, shaving for males, class attendance as well as formation and watch) you will be fine.

Very Strict – We wear a uniform. We have a militaristic chain of command. They abuse their power. If you are not an officer, prepare to be treated like s*** for your entire time at CMA. If you are an officer, prepare to get away with anything and have your uniform fees and parking permits paid for by other students' tuition.

Very Strict – The campus is run on a merits/demerits basis. If you rack up too many demerits, you can get in serious trouble
