For being a commuter campus, the Greek life at Cal Poly Pomona is vibrant. Even though there is no official "Greek Row," most of the fraternities do have unofficial houses in Pomona or the neighboring cities. These houses are where all the parties at CPP are held. The fraternities are constantly throwing parties, trying to outdo each other. Friday, Phi Kappa Tau may host their “Ho Ho Ho” Christmas party, and Saturday, Sigma Chi will try to party even harder with “Heaven or Hell.”
Greek Week is another exciting time for all of the sororities and fraternities or just for anyone that wants to see all of the Greek organizations compete against each other in a variety of events that encompass an entire week. The biggest event of the week is Lip Sync, where each fraternity and sorority comes up with a ten-minute skit that includes dancing and acting.
If someone is involved in other areas of campus life, they are also more often than not Greek. Most leadership positions on campus are held by someone that is also a member of a Greek organization, whether it is the President of the Associated Students, Inc., or an orientation leader. The bond between the sisters and brothers of these organizations is also easy to see around campus. Greeks can always be seen eating lunch together at "The Pancakes,” volunteering together, or even living together in the dorms or off-campus housing.

A Lot of Them!
It seems that there are far too many of them to count on campus! They are great volunteers and philanthropists but they dominate general campus common areas quite frequently.
