Best Things

Worst Things

  • Certain class selections are not very flexible, and students must compromise at times.
  • Classes can get very big, and it's hard on the student-teacher ratio.
  • Classes tend to fill up quickly, so register as soon as possible.
  • Free printing is being phased out. Pages are being limited now and soon will be non-existent.

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

California State University Dominguez Hills may not be the best school for everyone, but for some student, it’s just what they always wanted. The campus itself is relatively small compared to others, which makes it easy for students to get around and gives it a more communal feel as opposed to a larger campus that may leave students feeling disconnected. The buildings themselves are mixed. The newer ones add class and ingenuity, while the older ones give the campus an aged look, and everything blends together very well. The new library is a favorite among students, and it has become the new place to relax or do work.

For some students, it may take some time to warm up to the school, but they will eventually realize that the school has charm. The people help make the school, and Cal State Dominguez Hills has the right kind of people—people who will make school fun and energizing and who will allow students to be at ease and be at home. It just needs a proper chance to show that it is not just a stepping stone to another school; it is a great school in itself.

I'm Not Sure About These Dorms.

I personally do not live in the dorms, but I do hear mixted reviews about them. Some people love how close they are to campus and how easy it is to get to and from them. Others I hear complain about how small they are, or how nosiy. I guess you just have to find out for yourself.
