Open 5 days a week, the Hippodrome is a popular 21+ club located in downtown Monterey. The club features four (multi-level) dance floors, four sound systems, go-go cages and poles, video projectors, an outdoor patio, 13 bar stations, several TVs, and an attached four-story parking structure.

Planet Gemini is the only 18+ club in the Monterey area. The club offers a Thursday night called "Throwdown Thursday," which combines both dancing and a local DJ. Throwdown Thursdays tend to have different theme nights and occasionally even have an exciting musical guest such as Mistah Fab or the Cold Flamez. Other nights at Planet Gemini aren't aimed toward college students and typically feature entertainment such as salsa dancing, country music, and stand up comedy.

Characters is a sports bar located in Monterey's Marriott hotel. The bar offers terrific food (burgers, salads, sandwiches, etc), a full bar, and sporting events on the big screen.

Voted the #1 pub in Monterey County, the Crown and Anchor is a casual pub and restaurant located in Old Town Monterey. Lunch and dinner is served all day and there are children's menus available. For those drinking, try one of their various cocktails, California wines, 20 international beers, or a single malt scotch. Open until 2 a.m., seven days a week.
