College Prowler Take
With two coffeeshops on campus, it’s a given that students are drinking caffeine, and it’s assumed that students will be drinking alcohol at frat parties or kickbacks. You will also see students smoking cigarettes on campus, despite the commitment CSUN made to its students to make a drug-free campus. CSUN students became pretty upset when the Sundial (school newspaper) wrote an article about how the commitment wasn’t being enforced. This is one indicator that the majority of CSUN students don’t mess around with drugs.
If CSUN students are using drugs other than caffeine, alcohol, or tobacco, then they pretty much keep it to themselves. The slightest hint of other drug use is the unmistakable scent of weed floating through the dorm hallways. But even if people smell it, they don’t make a big deal about it unless it is truly causing a problem. Although it’s probably not impossible to search for people using drugs if that’s what you’re into, drugs don’t have a large, outspoken following that CSUN students are aware of.

Not enough people do drugs here ....
Not enough people do drugs here . . . It’s depressing. I am from a small hippy town, where my entire high school class were a bunch of stoners. Now I am here, and everyone is about work, work, work. Chill out and pass the J Northridge, or at least get drunk every night or something. |

It depends on what scene you're...
It depends on what scene you're in. If you're into the drug scene, then go Greek, and you will have SO much fun at CSUN!
