Advice on Finding a Job/Internship If you are worried about finding a job after going to school, don’t feel like you’re on your own. Sac State’s Career Center in Lassen Hall offers a number of services for its students. But don’t rely on that alone to get you employed, because people don’t hold your hand. Use your own initiative and be self-motivated. Network, keeps your ears open, and know yourself. From the moment you walk on campus, get in touch and stay in contact with the Career Center. Also, make sure to attend campus job fairs, major fairs, and take advantage of mock interviews and résumé critiques. Not only do you have the Career Center for job resources, but you also have the faculty within your own academic department. Talk to your major advisor to learn of opportunities specific to your program of study.
