Depends on your dorm. Desmond is mostly freshmen and "the party dorm" gets super loud. There are no parties in the dorm except for small groups of pre-gaming but there's really no such thing as quiet hours in desmond. Desmond is the second newest dorm so it's nicer and the rooms are bigger than Draper and Jenkins. Jenkins is right next to desmond. there's also a lot of freshmen but not a loud party dorm. Draper is exactly the same. Same size room and layout except that 2nd floor Jenkins is all girls. Sierra and Sutter are the really quiet dorms for international students and athletes. It's kind of a hassle on move in day because it's kind of a longer walk to get there but the rooms are bigger than draper,jenkins, and desmond. The american river courtyard is definitely the nicest but it's more expensive and freshmen can't live there.
