There is apartments directly next to the campus called, Prominence Apartments. There are apartments across the street from the campus. There are more complexes with in a 5 mile radius of the school in any direction.
I can't decide between the Quad and UVA. Which one is nicer? Which one is more social and lively? Which one has more fun? Is it better to live in UVA for the pool and because you are close to parking?

Off-campus housing is located throughout the beautiful surrounding communities of North San Diego. Most students live off campus, and CSUSM is known as a "commuter school," in which most students walk, bike, drive, carpool, or take the train/bus/Sprinter to school.
There are many beautiful small homes, condos, and apartments in the surrounding area for students at decent prices. Living with a roommate is always helpful for students looking to lower costs.
