Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

California, Pa. is a small borough that was once a thriving community; however, things have changed. While the campus is improving and striving to become more up-to-date, the borough does not appear to be on the bandwagon. It barely salts the roads during winter weather, which can be dangerous, but the Cal campus is always quick to think of the safety of its students. It can seem that locals do not particularly like Cal U students. The borough is a ghost town during the summer and on breaks without the students to bring color and life to the surrounding area. Although there are few bars and no clubs in California, the University is a playground for your four years. And if you want a break from the area, become a part of the National Student Exchange (NSE) or the international trips the University offers.

Enjoy the scenery and the fun free events offered on campus, or drive a short distance to the nearby attractions. There are plenty of people to talk to and activities or clubs to be a part of. There are more than 6,000 students, so socialize and talk to people and enjoy the simplicity of life at Cal U. The relationships and networks you build will last a lifetime and lead to new opportunities and experiences.
