Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Weather in Western Pennsylvania consists of all four seasons. In the winter months, snow and freezing temperatures can be a deterrent for drivers and buses, and occasionally lead to a few days or an entire week of canceled classes, especially during the month of February. Cal U is especially good at salting and clearing sidewalks and parking areas to promote safety and avoid accidents. Joining groups like Snow Club allow you to use the cold weather to your advantage for skiing trips at Seven Springs or Nemacolin.

The warm weather in spring and summer allow students to fully utilize the campus and surrounding areas with outdoor activities and parties. On a nice day, people enjoy walking their dogs, playing sports, or studying outside.
