Great variety, sometimes I want breakfast for dinner or a sandwich in the morning and our dining hall has it all.

Pretty good options, but nothing super special or healthy really.

There are five different food facilities around campus: a coffee house, a small store to spend 'bonus bucks' and three dining halls. One is pretty stable, since you can only get sandwiches and salads there (and/or the 'meal of the day'). The other two have more variety, though they can be unpredictable. The food is usually decent, and sometimes it's good -- especially breakfasts and desserts -- and other times it's bad, which I suppose you could expect anywhere.

There are two dining halls which pretty much offer the same options but open at slightly different times. There is a lot to chose from and you are put on a dining hall plan for your first two years at Calvin. Junior and Senior year you don't have the meal plan option, but you have the chance to purchase a block plan for some extra meals throughout the year. Otherwise you pretty much cook all your meals. A lot of students like to eat out on Sundays because the dining hall options are not the best on Sundays. There are also bonus bucks that you get with the meal plan which you can use a Johnny's a small store that you can purchase some fast food, drinks, chips, milk, snacks, etc. You can also just purchase items from there.

I actually don't mind the food on campus too much. I think the best place to eat is Uppercrust because they have a sandwich and salad bar that are both awesome. My least favorite place would be Commons, so I only go there when everything else is closed. Calvin is very accommodating for dietary restrictions and there is always a great variety of food. You can also use bonus bucks, which are pretty cool. B Quiv is a program where you can get a "breakfast equivalent" at night if you don't use all your meals for the day/week. I like going there and grabbing some cereal and juice when I'm in the mood for a nighttime snack.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
