Calvin has such a strong christian community and the drinking scene is basically nonexistent. It also has very strong academic programs that include Engineering, Nursing and Accounting (5th best CPA pass rate of any college in the US).

The Facilities are excellent and well maintained. The academic buildings are easily accessible, the library has multiple floors and plenty of study areas, and the fieldhouse is top-notch.

It is a little bit hard to be at Calvin if you do not know people initially. A lot of people are CRC and from Christian Private Schools. It is hard to fit in if you do not fall into a those categories. However, it is necessary to make some friends because otherwise you will have a hard time living in the residence halls. The facilities are good, and the academic programs. There are a lot of research opportunities and opportunities for people if they are fortunate enough to get into the honors program. The professors are really helpful as well; just be sure to ask questions in class or talk to them.

The athletic center is really good. It has a climbing wall, swimming pool, work out room, track, etc. The library is about five floors, the bottom floor is a computer lab. There are a few campus events, but if you want to figure out something to do there are usually events on your floors if you live in the residence halls. Otherwise, taking the bus to EastTown, or getting involved in clubs lets you have a lot of opportunities. There are not a lot of campus wide events or school thrown events. The student hangouts are the Johnny's which is a food place, and coffee shop on campus. Otherwise there is not a lot of hangouts. The apartments also have a few events each year, but a lot of times it is necessary to explore and figure out something to do with your friends.

I love the exercise facility, the lawns around campus to study on, the outdoor beach volleyball court, and the library having five floors with different levels of noise requirements.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
